Our guide covers the main pairings: a weizen glass for wheat beers, a tulip for IPAs, a snifter for stouts, and a pint glass for lagers. Beer styles are broader than any four-item list, though. If you are pouring something that does not map cleanly onto those, describe what is in the bottle and we will suggest a shape that suits it.
Use the form above and be specific: name the beer style, name the glass, and say what you would change. Our recommendations are built on how glass shape affects aroma concentration, head retention, and temperature over the length of a pour, so an explanation of what you are tasting helps more than a verdict on its own.
Surface area, neck width, and wall thickness all change how a beer presents itself. A narrow neck concentrates aroma into a smaller opening; a wide mouth releases it faster and lets the beer warm more quickly. Ask if you want the reasoning behind a particular recommendation rather than just the recommendation itself.
