Description

Kölsch is served in a Stange: a straight, narrow cylinder with no taper and no stem. In Cologne itself the Stange is 20cl, and a Köbes waiter circulates with a wreath-shaped tray swapping empties for fulls, so you are never drinking anything that has been sitting. A small glass is the whole point.

Be aware this is the 40cl version, which is twice a true Stange — the right shape but not the traditional pour. We would have listed Gaffel’s 20cl instead, but it was out of stock when we checked. 40cl.
